Dr. Bombay’s Underwater Teaparty

Living in a large city, we are lucky to have quite a few more options for fair trade products than, say, my hometown in Florida. However, they can still be hard to find. Fair Trade Atlanta is trying to change that by making it easy to find fair trade products anywhere.

In the meantime, however, we should support businesses that are already using fair trade practices. Today, I am going to tell you about a great one. Dr. Bombay’s Underwater Tea Party, in the Candler Park area of Atlanta, is very possibly one of the coolest places I have ever been. I felt like I was walking into the library from a fairy tale. Not to mention they have this courtyard in the back that I could spend hours in. Sitting in that courtyard instantly relaxes you. Not to mention, this place serves 100% fair trade tea. And, 50% of profits go to a charity that the owner started to prevent sex trafficking in India.

I know it sounds too good to be true, but it’s not. And you should definitely check it out. I recommend their jasmine tea and quiche. It was amazing.

Also, you should know that Fair Trade Atlanta is not asked to and does not benefit from our choice to promote businesses in any way. We just simply want to spread fair trade wherever we see it. So, check it out!

You can get there fairly easily from the Candler Park MARTA station, or just drive (it is close to Little Five Points).
