We went bananas
This past Thursday, Fair Trade Atlanta hosted a Banana Split Sundae Bar at Oglethorpe University in order to
1. Raise awareness about the need for fair trade bananas
2. Collect letters from the students to the manager of their nearby grocery store to lobby for stocking fair trade bananas
3. Give away free ice cream
In all three of these categories, the event was a resounding success! We
It was a great start to our fair trade month festivities, stay tuned for more!spoke with students and distributed information about the need for fair trade bananas to many, many students. Additionally, we collected approximately 30Β Product Request CardsΒ to give to the manager of the local grocery store. And, we ran out of supplies for ice cream sundaes, showing that we had great attendance!
